An Iranian engineering student hanged himself from a window grill in his apartment in RMV 2nd Stage here Monday night.
Dama Sharafy Harisiane (18), a first year student at the Brindavan College of Engineering in Bhupasandra here, was depressed for some time now, according to his sister, Dalaram Sharafy Harisiane.
The siblings from Teheran had rented a flat in Vijayendra Enclave. His body was discovered by Ms. Harisiane who came home with her friend at 10.45 p.m.
She told the police her brother was addicted to alcohol and that he had spoken of suicide before. There was no suicide note though the last words he told her were: I dont want to live like an animal.
